Project members from Austria, Germany, Estonia and Italy evaluated the results of the courses in their countries during the two-day meeting.
Thilo Wagner, Forestry Director of the NRW State Forestry and Timber Agency, opened the project conference with a detailed and exciting presentation about the institute and its central role for forestry in the region. Mr Wagner provided insights into challenges such as climate change and its impact on the region, as well as the successes achieved through the work of the institute.
In addition to evaluating past course content and analysing existing data, the meeting also served to strategically plan future measures for implementing digital learning tools in forestry training. The need for new (digital) learning concepts cannot be overlooked.
